Apogee Mind — Privacy Policy

Apogee Mind — Itero Aurora LLC

Effective date: April 8, 2026

Who we are

Apogee Mind is an app developed and operated by Itero Aurora LLC, a human-centered design consultancy focused on mental health and brain health technology. Itero Aurora LLC is the data controller for all personal information described in this policy.

Website: https://iteroaurora.com

Jurisdiction: United States

Privacy contact: eugene@iteroaurora.com

What this app is

Apogee Mind is a self-coaching and productivity tool. It helps you plan focus and recovery using time-of-day patterns, your own check-ins, and session reflections. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat, or assess medical or mental health conditions.

Information the app processes

On your device

The app stores preferences and activity you create — for example: workday settings, check-in ratings, tasks, session logs including optional notes, and planner state — on your device. This supports core features and allows the app to work offline.

Optional device sources

If you choose to enable them, the app may read the following from your device to personalize planner timing hints:

  • Calendar: event timing on your device
  • Apple Health: summaries such as sleep, steps, and heart rate (on supported iOS builds) that you explicitly authorize

These reads are designed to remain on your device. They are not transmitted to Itero Aurora or any third party unless a future feature explicitly requires it — and this policy will be updated before that happens.

Sensitive content you type

Text you enter — such as task titles, session notes, or free-form reflections — is treated as personal information. This content is not sent to third-party analytics services in raw form. If any analytics are ever transmitted, only pseudonymous, aggregated events are used — never raw text, check-in values, or task titles.

Safety feature

If certain high-risk language is detected in text you enter, the app may display crisis and safety resources and a way to return to the app. This detection happens entirely on your device. No detected content, trigger signals, or related data are transmitted to Itero Aurora or any third party. This is a safety redirect, not clinical care or monitoring.

Analytics and improvement

  • You can opt out of product analytics in Settings. The app remains fully usable if you opt out.
  • Current build: No third-party analytics service is included for routine event transmission. If that changes, this policy and the in-app description will be updated before any new version reaches the store.
  • If analytics are enabled in a future build: only pseudonymous, coarse or aggregated events will be used — not raw check-in values, free-text notes, or task titles.

What we do not do

  • No sale of your personal information in identifiable form.
  • No third-party advertising SDKs in the current app.
  • No use of the app to provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.

Aggregates and research (future)

If we ever share insights externally, we intend to share aggregate statistics only — with thresholds and coarsening applied so no individual is identifiable. Any such sharing will be reflected in this policy before it applies to you.

Retention and deletion

Apogee Mind is designed to be local-first. Unless a future version adds accounts or cloud syncing, your app data remains on your device under your control.

You can delete app data by removing the app from your device or using your device's app storage controls. If we add accounts or cloud sync in the future, we will update this policy before those features apply.

Data breach notification

In the event that personal information under our control is compromised, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law, including any state or federal breach notification requirements. We will describe the nature of the incident, the data involved, and the steps we are taking to address it.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has submitted information may contact us at the privacy email above.

California residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of any sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, please contact us at the privacy email above and we will respond within 45 days.

International users

If you live in a jurisdiction that provides additional privacy rights, you may contact us using the email above. If we expand into regions with specific legal requirements — such as the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions with data protection frameworks — we will update this policy accordingly before offering the app in those markets.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change materially. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. For significant changes, we will provide notice through the app or app store description.
